Child Therapy
A space for kids to play, explore big feelings, and work through the things that can be hard to put into words.
Our Approach
Child therapy doesn’t always look like sitting on a couch and talking… and that’s okay. Kids often communicate through play, creativity, movement, and connection. We meet each child where they are, giving them space to express what they’re feeling, work through hard things, and build skills along the way. We also recognize that kids are part of a bigger picture, so when it’s helpful, we work alongside parents and caregivers to support what’s happening outside of the therapy room, too.

Common Reasons for Child Therapy
What To Expect
-
We start by learning more about your child, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping therapy can help with. Building comfort and trust comes first. Games, crafts, play, and conversation help us get to know your child beyond what brought them to therapy. We take time to build a relationship first, creating a space where they feel comfortable opening up and working through the harder stuff.
-
As your child gets more comfortable, sessions begin to dig a little deeper. Through play, activities, and conversation, we help them make sense of big feelings, understand their reactions, and learn new ways to cope.
-
The goal is for what your child learns in therapy to show up outside of the therapy room, too. We help them put new skills into practice at home, at school, and in their relationships, whether that means handling big feelings, communicating what they need, or navigating hard moments. Parents and caregivers are brought into the process when helpful, so you can support that growth along the way. We also offer Parent Coaching which may be the best added support for your family!
