Individual Therapy
Just you and your therapist. Slowing down. Digging in.
Our Approach
We all do therapy a little differently. At The Oaks, you will find therapists that are grounded and reflective, warm and encouraging, while others bring a more direct and energetic approach. Different personalities, different perspectives and different ways of connecting and doing the work. Our therapists will draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered, Cognitive Processing, Family Systems and more. The one thing we share, is our commitment to you.

What To Expect
-
The first few sessions are about getting to know you. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what feels important, and what you’re hoping might change, while building a relationship where you can be yourself.
-
There’s no set formula for what happens next. Some sessions might mean unpacking patterns or experiences from the past, while others focus on what’s happening right now. Together, you and your therapist will make connections, work through the hard stuff, and figure out what actually helps.
-
Over time, therapy can help you feel more like yourself again or maybe understand yourself in a way you haven’t before. As you work through what’s been weighing on you, the goal is to feel more grounded, more authentic, and more confident in how you move through your life.
Wondering About Insurance?
Our practice only accepts private pay. However, we are happy to provide you a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if reimbursement is an option for you.
